Peru seeks to promote the forest sector to be one of the engines of its development
The forestry sector can become one of the main engines that drives the development of the country, its potential is based on the enormous resources of the Peruvian territory (61% is made up of Amazon tropical forest), which must be valued responsibly and sustainably, said the management of Services and Extractive Industries of the Association of Exporters (ADEX).
Effort shared by the wood industry
One of the sectors most affected in 2020 with the arrival of the SARS-CoV-2 virus was construction, according to a report by Fitch Solutions Country Risk & Industry Research, the global value of this activity was affected by US $ 85.6 billion last year. However, expectations at the end of 2021 are positive, that same entity indicates a rebound of US $ 376.5 billion, with Latin America being the region with the fastest recovery.
Public-private space for the development of the country
The economic dynamics of the world this 2021 have exceeded all expectations, especially due to the high prices of minerals, however, next year we will face another reality, with greater competition and lower demand, in addition to the uncertainty due to Covid-19. Therefore, we need to push certain sectors to have greater resilience, said the president of the Association of Exporters (ADEX), Erik Fischer Llanos.
