The Services and Extractive Industries Management of the Association of Exporters (ADEX) reported that Peruvian exports of wooden floors totaled US $ 23,782,000 between the months of January and April of the current year, a value that caused a contraction of – 6.3% compared to the same period of 2017.

The products that stood out within the national exportable supply of wooden floors were the frisas, used for the elaboration of tongue-and-groove floors and ‘decking’, which is used in the construction of terraces and for surroundings of swimming pools.

CHINA WAS THE MAIN DESTINATION

During the first four months of the year, the national wooden floors were directed mainly towards China, a market that registered orders for US $ 14 million 611 thousand (fall of -19.4%). This figure was equivalent to 61% of the turnover.

In the second position of the ranking of importers appears France with demands for US $ 3 million 741 thousand). In addition, the United States (US $ 1 million 095 thousand), Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands stand out.

On the other hand, Peruvian firms that exported hardwood floors between January and April in the January section -April were IMK Maderas SAC, Grupo Maderero Amaz SAC, Maderera Bozovich SAC, E & J Matthei Maderas del Perú SA and Forest Industry Huayruro SAC
